Utas Residency Agreement

December 20th, 2020 6:37 am

In summer, many of our residents like to go home and spend time with their families. You can also take advantage of the break to travel in the state. Our leases allow it, with empty dots during the summer. If you have any questions, please contact us via our Request or Email form enquire@accommodation.utas.edu.au As part of the NRAS conditions, the Living student team must offer residents (or potential residents) of NRAS apartments a housing contract that complies with the terms of the Tenancy Residential Act 1997. You can opt for a longer accommodation contract if you wish – up to 52 weeks maximum. However, minimum rental conditions apply and can be found on the corresponding studio apartment pages on our website. For more information, click here for a copy of “A Tenant Guide for Rent in Tasmania (PDF 469.9 KB)”. This is different from the 42-week living accommodation agreement provided by the student team for non-NRAS accommodation. To be eligible for a NRAS apartment, we also organize many culinary events throughout the year, from the winter festival to the day of the pancakes.

You can even take a cooking class or learn how to grow your own food on our common garden days. Saltz Cafe Restaurant is a short walk from the property and meals can be purchased daily between 7am and 7.30pm. If you are not allowed to use NRAS apartments, UTAS Student You will consider depending on availability and suitability for non-NRAS accommodation. All fees must be paid two weeks in advance by direct debit from an Australian bank account or in advance before the start of your residency contract. Some frequently asked questions about the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) are addressed in the FAQs section. If you need more information, please contact us. Each accommodation covered by the National Rental Affordability Scheme requires a few additional steps. It`s to make sure your fees are affordable and that we prioritize national students. Room numbers are limited during the summer, so send an extension as soon as possible to make sure we can meet your request.

Please note that you may not be able to stay in the same room or residence due to conference, group and summer bookings.
